  P-51B Vertical Climb WW II

The, P-51 Mustang, was one of the most famous and effective American fighter aircraft in WWII.  This is a painting of the P-51B model in a vertical climb.  This aircraft has been restored and is flying out of the Duxford (Imperial War Museum)airfield near Cambridge, England.  The paint job belonged to the 54th Fighter Group (FG), 8th Air Force (AF). The 54th FG was named by the German Luftwaffe as the Blue Nosed fighters of Bodne.as they were based in Bodney, France.  One of the lving pilots of this fighter group lives in Dekalb County, Georgia.  The original is acrylic on board.  Giclee prints are available.
