  Spitfire and Bristol Beaufighter WWII

Flight Lt. Dennis Payne, RAF, is a friend in Atlanta.  He flew in the Bristol Beaufighter (twin engined aircraft in painting) during the Battle of Britain as a flight engineer..  Following graduation from pilot training, Dennis flew the Wellington twin engined bomber.  He became an instructor pilot in southern Georgia (USA) and trained both British and American pilots in the Vultee BT-13 trainer and also flew the Stearman PT-17.  He returned to England and flew the Supermarine Spitfire, probably the most famous British plane in WWII  .  Following the war, he joined the consular service and retired as the British Consul in Atlanta.  I selected both aircraft images and put them in formation for this painting.  The original painting is oil on canvas and has been presented to Dennis.  Giclee prints on canvas are available in 16x20 image size - (1) unframed with 1" border, (2) stretched ready to frame, or (3) stretched and  framed..
